RUDIMENTS AND THEORY OF MUSIC

Definition

Rudiments of music refers to the ingredients or basic elements that make up music. Such as:

1. Tempo

2. Pitch

3. Duration

3. Dynamics

4. Timbre

5. Texture


1. Tempo: Refers to the fastness or slowness (speed) of a musical sound.

2. Pitch: Refers to the highness or lowness of a musical sound.

3. Duration: Refers to the time range or period of a musical sound.

4. Dynamics: This is the loudness or quietness of a musical sound.

4. Timbre: Refers to the sound quality of a note played on an instrument.

5. Texture: Refers to the number of unit lines (melodies) and the relationship they have with one another.

Assignment

When reciting the national anthem at the assembly ground, state one example of the rudiments of music you notice.
